Shaun of the Dead

While we tend to focus on the big screen here at, we’re no stranger to enjoying things on television as well. Today, we’ve got the latest on some horror flicks headed to a TV near you, plus the date when you can finally see Star Wars Rebels on the Disney Channel.

First up, we’ve got some exciting news about a Shaun of the Dead reunion in the most unlikely of places.

Star Simon Pegg revealed that he and Nick Frost will be reprising their roles as Shaun and Ed in this year’s Halloween episode of Disney animated series Phineas and Ferb.

NBC reveals plans for a potential Devil’s Advocate series

NBC appears ready to raise a little hell with its plans to shoot a pilot episode for a potential series based on Tyler Hackford’s 1997 film The Devil’s Advocate.

The movie version featured Keanu Reeves as a young hotshot attorney who finds himself literally working for the devil (played with scenery-chewing glee by Al Pacino). The series will presumably cover the same narrative ground, only with a much larger story arc.

NBC hasn’t committed to a full run of episodes, but as /Film points out, it has a deal in place where it’ll have to shell out a significant amount of money to Warner Bros. if it doesn't move forward with it.

No word on who might fill the Reeves and Pacino roles, but we’ll share that info as soon as it’s revealed.

While everyone and their brother is currently obsessing over every Star Wars: Episode VII detail to hit the Internet, let’s not forget there’s a new animated series in the works – and its big debut is right around the corner.

Disney is set to unveil Star Wars Rebels starting late in September, and we’ve got all the dates and times when you can catch the newest tale from a galaxy far, far away.

Subscribers to Disney’s Watch Disney website and app will get the first chance to see the series’ one-hour film Star Wars Rebels: Sparks of Rebellion on Monday, September 29.

Regular Disney Channel viewers will be able to see the feature for themselves on October 3 at 9 p.m. EST/PST. If you forget to DVR it, the episode will be available on iTunes and the like on October 4. The series will also debut on Disney XD on October 6. If that’s not enough, you can buy it on DVD on October 14.

The regular series kicks off with its first episode on October 13, airing on Disney XD at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

That’s a lot of Star Wars in a two-week period, but if any animated series deserves this sort of fanfare, it’s this one. Will you guys be tuning in?
