The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Director Marc Webb has been tweeting a steady stream of photos from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, most of them easily identifiable, but his latest is a bit of a mystery. It's captioned merely "Day 73. The Future," which makes it among the most intriguing images he's shared to date. The mystery will be solved when the movie opens on May 2, 2014. Inherent Vice: Paul Thomas Anderson is following up his Academy Award-nominated The Master with an adaptation of Thomas Pynchon's 1960s-set detective comedy Inherent Vice, and he's assembling a killer cast. Joaquin Phoenix is playing the lead role, with Owen Wilson, Benecio Del Toro and Reese Witherspoon also on board. Now Sean Penn is in talks to join the cast as well, in an undisclosed role. RED 3: Two months before the release of action-comedy RED 2, Summit Entertainment is ready to move forward with RED 3. The studio has hired writers Jon and Erich Hoeber, who adopted the comic book series by Warren Ellis and Cully Hammer in the first place, to cook up another installment, with production tentatively set for January 2014. No word yet, obviously, on whether Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich and/or Helen Mirren will return. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues Trailer: Stay classy, San Diego! Nine years after Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Steve Carell brightened up our lives with Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, which followed the misadventures of a TV news show in the 1970s, a sequel is finally hurtling toward theaters in December. The first trailer has been released, and it's every bit as awesome as any teaser we've ever seen in our lives. [YouTube]
