Ted 2

Partners: Mark Wahlberg (above in Ted 2) will star in Partners, an action comedy. He'll play a Los Angeles police detective who has a one-night stand with a woman, then learns the next morning that she's an FBI agent and also his new boss on a high-profile criminal investigation. Next up: an actress who can team with Wahlberg and a director who can handle comedy and "big action set pieces." [Deadline]

The Age of Adaline

In the Deep: Blake Lively (above in The Age of Adaline) is in negotiations to star in the shark thriller In the Deep. Jaume Collett-Serra (Run All Night) will direct the movie, which pits a young woman "against a sadistic shark that has her trapped on a buoy 20 yards from the shore." It's also described as a cross between 127 Hours -- with James Franco pinned under a boulder -- and Steven Spielberg's classic Jaws. [The Wrap]

Edgar Wright

Collider: Director Edgar Wright (above) has several irons in the fire, including the mysterious project currently titled Collider, which is being produced by J.J. Abrams' production company Bad Robot. Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend) wrote the first draft of the screenplay, and now Mark L. Smith (The Revenant) has been hired to write a new version. No hints about the movie -- not even the genre -- have been dropped yet. [Deadline]
