Movie News: Josh Duhamel Returning for 'Transformers: The Last Knight'; First Look at 'Rings'

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Transformers: The Last Knight: Josh Duhamel, who costarred as military man William Lennox in the first three installments of the Transformers series -- but not 2014's Transformers: Age of Extinction -- will return for Transformers: The Last Knight. Duhamel says his character has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. The movie begins production next month and will be released on June 23, 2017. [Deadline]



Masterminds/Before I Wake: Four long-delayed movies have received new theatrical release dates. Before I Wake, a thriller starring Kate Bosworth and Jacob Tremblay, is set for September 9. Masterminds (above), a comedy starring Zach Galifianakis, Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis, will open on September 30. Look for Kate Beckinsale and Lucas Till in the thriller The Disappointments Room, slated for November 18, while Kidnap, starring Halle Berry, hits theaters on December 2. [The Wrap]



Rings: Our first look at Samara in Rings, the third installment in the Ring horror series, reveals the ghostly character is as limber and long-haired as ever. She's played by Bonnie Morgan in the upcoming movie, which is scheduled for release on October 28. Alex Roe, Matilda Lutz, Aimee Teegarden and Johnny Galecki also star. [Bloody Disgusting]
