Born in 1925, Vidal began publishing novels in the 1940s and gained wider fame after he turned to writing popular historical fictional and satirical novels in the 1970s; he also became known for his fiery public debates with the likes of William F. Buckley Jr. [Variety]

It's not known to what extent Coogler will now be involved with the sequel; he's been busy directing Black Panther lately. [Instagram]
