Movie News: James Gunn Clarifies 'Guardians'/'Avengers' Crossover; Funny 'Christmas Vacation' Prank

Guardians of the Galaxy: Director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, above) clarified his position about a possible crossover between his super team and the other Marvel super team, the Avengers. "I'm not going to tell anyone what happens to the Guardians, especially two or three movies down when who even knows if I'll be around anymore," he stated. "Regarding the bigger picture, we all agreed… to keep huge chunks of the Guardians separate from the Marvel heroes of Earth, because they have a whole galaxy to explore." [Facebook]

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation: Perhaps you watched Chevy Chase in his 1989 holiday classic National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation yesterday. Or perhaps you were driving north on the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey, looking for a familiar "Clark/Westfield" sign near exit 135, and instead saw "Clark Griswold, 1 mile." The sign, evidently an homage to the name of Chase's character in the comedy, was promptly taken down by the Turnpike Authority, but not before photographic evidence was captured by social media users.
