Divergent: A variety of would-be franchises are jostling to appeal to the young moviegoers who made The Twilight Saga and The Hunger Games such big success stories, but as a new photo reveals, Divergent may have an ace up its sleeve: Shailene Woodley. She followed up her supporting role in The Descendants with a starring role in upcoming teen flick The Spectacular Now, and will also be starring in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 next year. In the photo, she holds her nerve as knives are flung at her. Divergent is due out on March 21, 2014. []

The Man from U.N.C.L.E.: Armie Hammer is ready to jump from playing The Lone Ranger alongside Johnny Depp to impersonating a secret agent alongside Tom Cruise in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The big-screen version of the 1960s TV show will be directed by Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows), who boarded the project in late 2011 after first George Clooney then Steven Soderbergh dropped out. Guys and Dolls: Reportedly, Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are interested in starring in a new musical version of Guys and Dolls, which is good news for 20th Century Fox, which wants them too! Of course, little things need to be done first -- like hiring a writer and securing a director -- but teaming up Tatum and JGL for the gambling rogues played in the 1955 movie by Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra sounds potentially fabulous. Japanese Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer: A trailer recently released in Japan for Star Trek Into Darkness features snippets of new footage, including the first glimpse of a hijacked starship, and gives even more emphasis on the action (if that’s even possible). As you may have heard, the movie will be launched into U.S. theaters on May 17. [TrekMovie via First Showing]
