Star Wars: Episode VIII: Carrie Fisher completed her work on Star Wars: Episode VIII before she passed away yesterday. The movie finished principal photography in July and is scheduled for theatrical release on December 15, 2017. Reportedly, Fisher was also set to reprise her role as Leia Organa in Star Wars: Episode IX, which is not expected until 2019. [Variety]

 

Logan: Hugh Jackman shared a new photo from Logan. Though it's in color, it retains the same moody atmosphere of previous publicity shots, picturing the titular character leaning against a car as the sun sets. Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero: Based on the true story of the first dog to be promoted by the U.S. Army, the animated feature Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero has now been scheduled for theatrical release on April 13, 2018. Set during the first World War, the movie will follow a stray dog in Connecticut that is picked up by soldiers and smuggled aboard a troopship, eventually helping to save lives.
