The Dark Knight Rises

No “Official” Box-Office Reports: Out of respect for the victims of the shooting in Aurora, Colorado, Warner Bros. announced it would delay reporting box-office grosses for The Dark Knight Rises until later today, and most of the other studios followed suit. But on Sunday, “studio officials” could not resist passing on the numbers unofficially. [The New York Times]

Hawaiian Laughs: On the set of sci-fi comedy The Watch, stars Ben Stiller and Jonah Hill got together with producer Shawn Levy and worked out Hill's idea for another movie and then pitched it to Fox. Titled Aloha, the comedy is evidently set in Hawaii; Nicholas Stoller (Get Him to the Greek, The Five-Year Engagement) is in negotiations to write the screenplay. The Watch is due out on Friday. Military Cop: The upcoming remake of Robocop continues to assemble an impressive cast; Jackie Earle Haley is the latest to sign up, joining Joel Killaman, Gary Oldman, Hugh Laurie, Abbie Cornish and Samuel L. Jackson. Haley will play a character named Maddox who gives Robocop military training; it’s a character who was not in the original. Jay Baruchel and unidentified others are also said to be “circling” roles. [Deadline]

Ladies Party: In Bachelorette, due out on September 7, three bridesmaids -- Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and Lizzy Caplan -- decide to have their own wild times, over the protests of the modest bride-to-be (Rebel Wilson). Check the new trailer for some rowdy fun. [Collider]
