See How the 'Lego Movie' Directors Responded to the Year's Biggest Oscar Snub

Sure, there were plenty of snubs to share around the gossip table when it came to this year's Academy Award nominees, but perhaps none are as devastating as The Lego Movie not receiving a nomination for Best Animated Film. Talk about something that definitely was not awesome. Was it because of its unusual animation style? Was it because parts of it were in live action? Or was it because Lord Business exacted his revenge upon those who brought him down? 

We may never know -- but what we do know is that the film's directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, are having fun with the snub, posting the following notes to Twitter earlier.

 









The Lego Movie is still represented thanks to its Best Song nomination for "Everything Is Awesome," so celebrate the film's monumental success in 2014 by picking it up on Blu-ray or by watching the "Everything Is Awesome" music video below.
