Nick Frost Biography

  • Profession: Actor
  • Born: Mar 28, 1972
  • Died: Jan 1, 0001

Best friend of frequent co-star [[Performer~P307202~Simon Pegg~simonpegg]], Essex-born Nick Frost got his start as a comedy writer before gaining prominence on the BAFTA-nominated sitcom [[Feature~V270238~Spaced~spaced[tvseries]]]. After the show bowed in 2001, Frost joined his cast mates and director [[Performer~P203553~Edgar Wright~edgarwright]] in the zombie comedy [[Feature~V301090~Shaun of the Dead~shaunofthedead]]. Featuring Frost as the slovenly sidekick to the aforementioned [[Performer~P307202~Pegg~simonpegg]]'s leading man, [[Feature~V301090~Shaun~shaunofthedead]] was released in 2004 and went on to become an international cult hit, turning its modest budget into 30 million dollars in worldwide box-office grosses. For his performance, Frost earned a nomination for the Most Promising Newcomer prize at the British Independent Film Awards. In the wake of the success of [[Feature~V301090~Shaun of the Dead~shaunofthedead]], Frost starred in the U.K. sci-fi comedy series Hyperdrive before re-teaming with [[Performer~P307202~Pegg~simonpegg]] and [[Performer~P203553~Wright~edgarwright]] yet again, this time for the 2007 big-screen cop comedy [[Feature~V344571~Hot Fuzz~hotfuzz]]. That same year, Frost and [[Performer~P307202~Pegg~simonpegg]] could also be seen on La Triviata, a BBC sitcom they co-wrote and directed about pub trivia contests. ~ Matthew Tobey, Rovi
