The American popularity of the Akira Kurosawa films made it possible for a few lesser Japanese productions to get U.S. bookings. Yassa Mossa (Confusion) was intended as the first in a trilogy about the Japanese children of Occidental parents. Director Minoro Shibuya's attention is divided between two contrasting types.
