Narnia, Narnia and More Narnia

When certain-to-be-huge (and, thankfully, lots of no-reservations fun) movies like The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian open on a Friday, it's like when a giant truck decides to take up one and a half lanes of traffic. You just let it. Which is why your choices are few this weekend, unless you're in a big city where there are art-house movies to investigate. And if you have those choices to make, you might want to check out the cool new Norwegian movie Reprise, because it feels as cool and energetic as England's Trainspotting did a decade ago. Or you Ugly Betty obsessives might enjoy America Ferrera's 2005 — but finally reaching theaters now — indie How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer. Otherwise, you could check out the unjustly maligned, totally weird Speed Racer. Because it's a fair bet you didn't do that last weekend, judging by its dismal box office.
