The title and content are one in the same in Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. Running 10 minutes, the film is a visual record of a performance of the Bach composition, under the baton of Werner Janssen. Originally written for keyboard, the "Toccata" was orchestrated by Lucien Cailet, a protégé of Leopold Stokowski, who'd likewise performed the piece in 1940's Fantasia.
