FULL SYNOPSIS

A boy edging into his teenage years struggles to find his muse and himself in this gentle drama from Greece. Hristos (Vladimir Golosinski) is a 12-year-old growing up on a small island not far from Rhodes; his parents are divorced, and his mother (Elissavet Naslidou) doesn't have much time for him, displaying little interest in his passion for music. One of the few people Hristos can confide in is an elderly lighthouse keeper (Alekos Alexandrakis), who lets the boy practice his violin near the water, where he discovers he likes the sound of the instrument melding with the noises of the sea. Hristos is also suffering from a rare disease that is slowly robbing him of his sight, making his music seem all the more important as a way of perceiving the world around him. When a new teacher, Maria (Viki Volioti), arrives at his school, Hristos seems to have finally found someone who understands what his gift means to him and encourages him to follow a creative path.
