Raised on comedic movies and classic sitcoms in her childhood, Fey took her degree in drama from the University of Virginia and moved to Chicago where she discovered her passion for improv at the famed Second City. Best known for her work on
Saturday Night Live as co-anchor of the Weekend Update with Jimmy Fallon and her subsequent success with the award-winning sitcom
30 Rock that she executive produces, writes and stars in, Fey made her first noteworthy appearance on the silver screen co-starring in
Mean Girls (2004), which also earned her a screenplay writing credit. Fey continues her quest for the loudest laughs, starring with fellow
SNL alum Amy Poehler in 2008's
