FULL SYNOPSIS
This sympathetic biography of Slovak writer Bozena Slancikova-Timrava captures the ambiance of the village life that fascinated her and the understated pathos of her own life as well. Divided into six different vignettes as a homage to the writer's assertion that any life can be told in five sentences (hers needs that extra something), the stories feature some of the more dramatic or character-revealing incidents in her past. In one segment, her closeness and affinity to the peasantry is brought forward; in another, she is raped and the reaction of her beloved aunt is rather cruel. In other scenes, the isolation of her personal life is shown in simple terms.
