The Romantic Age Details

FULL SYNOPSIS

This British drama was originally titled [[Feature~V154875~Naughy Arlette~arlette]]. The title character, played by future director [[Performer~P117916~Mai Zetterling~maizetterling]], is a French exchange student at a British art school. Teacher [[Performer~P116867~Hugh Williams~hughwilliams]] is unable to resist Arlette's seductive charms, a fact that brings about his downfall. The girl's randiness also adversely affects [[Performer~P116867~Williams~hughwilliams]]' daughter Petula Clark. Based on [[Performer~P311695~Serge Weber~sergeweber]]'s novel [[Feature~V145166~Lycee des jeaunes filles~lesfillesausoleil]], The Romantic Age lacks the stylishness demanded by its subject matter. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
