Pick a Peck of Plumbers Details

FULL SYNOPSIS

In between four mediocre 2-reel comedies opposite Harry Langdon, Swedish-accented vaudevillian El Brendel took time out for this slapstick farce with Shemp Howard. They play plumber's assistants who manage to reduce a house to shambles in less than 2 reels. The plot, a remake of Plumbing for Gold (1934), starring the team of George Sidney and Charlie Murray, and A-Plumbing We Will Go (1940), featuring [[Performer~P70872~The Three Stooges~thethreestooges]], proved one of the Columbia short subject department's most workable and was trotted out again for Vagabond Loafers (1949) and Scheming Schemers (1956), both with the Stooges. ~ Hans J.
