G.I. JOE
Insulting Your Intelligence Is Half the Battle It’s hard to admit that I’m too old to be the target audience for movies based on toys I played with as a kid. It’s harder still to describe how much I loved G.I. Joe. There were two shelves in my bedroom – one for Joe and one for Cobra. Many vicious battles were fought. Casualties were heavy. I believe at one point Grunt’s arm was melted off with a lighter. Anyway, that was a long time ago, and now I feel a little silly watching this trailer. And rewatching it. And re-rewatching it.

TERMINATOR 5
Back to the Present? McG said in an interview that he thinks the next Terminator movie will be set in 2011. I’m not even going to pretend to understand the "Lost"-like time-travel logic implications of this. But I do think it’ll be interesting to see if they incorporate the fact that the runup to Judgment Day occurs during the Obama presidency, and it should be a good excuse for Tina Fey to bring the Sarah Palin costume out of retirement.

Sam Witwicky Goes to College Got a chuckle out of all Shia’s “Oh my God, it’s a coded message written on the pyramids” dialogue in the new trailer. When did the Transformers series become a National Treasure: Book of Secrets knockoff?
