More Thor by FireBender
Loved Thor: The Dark World so much! It has a great story line and the actors nailed their characters, especially Christopher Eccleston (loved him as Malekith the Accursed).
The Dark World makes the grade. by wizdmzchyld
We had a blast at this movie. It was funny and entertained us the whole way through. I avoid going to the theater for reasons of comfort but this was definitely worth the money AND the time spent out of reach of my own refrigerator and the pause button on the remote. I've pre-ordered a copy to see it again at home.
Kudos to the makers of this film for making it purely entertaining for anyone who wants to suspend reality and fly around the universe for an afternoon. WELL DONE!!!
Great Fun by Butler4ever
Thor isn't great art, but it's great fun. I had no expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this film. I'm not the audience for it--my tolerance for action, things blowing up, mindless violence, sickening camera moves and the rest of the stuff fanboys love is nil--but I found myself laughing out loud several times. There is some degree of character development, which already puts this miles ahead of the bitterly disappointing Desolation of Smaug, plus several plot twists took me by surprise. In addition, the character of Loki is genuinely intriguing. I'm always pleased when I'm not ten minutes ahead of a film. It's a romp, nothing more, but on that level it succeeds very nicely.
Loki's best so far! by robrhoten
For all Loki fans, Tom Hiddleston did his best performance yet! Great plot, fun scenes. Only thing I am not a fan of is the forced romance of Thor and Jane Foster, but unfortunately it looks like Natalie Portman's character isn't going anywhere.
More Action, More Bro-Chemistry by whyshiroma
The one thing, aside from the fun action sequences, is the chemistry between Thor and Loki. The first movie has set up their foundation but with this second movie we see the actors are comfortable in their skin, the characters are funny, charming, and seemingly real in their goofiness. All in all, it's a fun and uncomplicated action ride!
Good, but not great by maydayqueen92
I did love the animation and the action but, for me, the loose ends were worse than the good parts. I say loose ends because you cannot go from the first movie to the second one right away, you have to watch the Avengers in between the two movies. I can definitely see another movie following this and I'll probably watch it because of a few of the actors that will most likely be involved. Overall, good graphics, good story, great action scenes but a little miffed about the avengers being an in-between for the two movies.
