Hart's exasperated dervish shtick has moments of real live-wire anarchy, including one priceless gag at a firing range. Will it be enough to make Hart a household name? Maybe. But both he and his fans deserve better.

Turns out to be something like a comic riff on "Training Day." Leaning more toward Hart's brand of slightly raunchy humor rather than Ice Cube's equally popular family-friendly fare, the PG-13 film exhibits broad appeal.

Hart is much like Murphy: fast-talking, mischievous and irresistible. He's so confident and good-natured that we see how Angela fell for her pint-sized slacker.

haven't laughed this hard in years by britinlincoln
Wasn't quite sure what to expect with this movie, but SHE chose it so we went. I should have guessed that with Kevin Hart playing the comedy role and Ice Cubet his straight man it would be good but this modern "laurel & hardy duo" were absolutely brilliant! We both were laughing very hard throughout a movie that was well written and that had the right mix of comedy and intense drama! Hart at the shooting range firing his first handgun and the recoil launching him backwards though the air was priceless! The drama when the "Bad Guys" kidnapped his fiance was intense. The plot twists kept you guessing, and throughout, Ice Cube was this dour, "intent on getting his man" detective that made Hart even more hilarious! This was my first visit to a movie theater in years (DVD's netflix etc), but was well worth it! I would highly recommend this movie, well worth the price of admission!

Kevin Hart is a fool and Ice Cube is great. They make a great team. So funny. Must go see if you want to laugh until you cry.

Fabulous movie....I wasn't expecting it to be all that good but I gave it a shot and I have to say I am so glad I went...It was funny and sometimes on your seat thriller. Good actors and story line!

hillarious by ajhelton3481
I took my husband to Ride Along for our anniversary as a surprise. We were not disappointed in the least. We were in tears from laughing so hard. There were some sexual innuendoes, very little to no cursing, no gore or graphic injuries. I would recommend this movie to teens and adults.

This movie has gotten some bad reviews that are very wrong. This is an awesome movie and it went so fast that the time flew to what I thought was seconds. Great date movie. For the whole family!!!!!!!

What A Ride !!! by stanleymcclure
Everyone should go and see this movie, for Ice Cube and Kevin Hart play such a great movie together. Let us hope there is a sequel to this movie. Good Acting, Directing, Producing, and a very cleverly written Script to go by.

Run Forrest Run by allicat123
Terrible, corny. I love Kevin Hart but this was far from his best or even good work. Ice Cube sounded more like an LA gang member than a police officer. He couldn't put one sentence together in English, it all sounded like bad slang. My husband and I walked out in the middle of the movie. It was trying to be funny but wasn't.

PARENTS BE VERY CAUTIOUS. Got up and left the movie after 5 minutes. Since it was listed as PG13, I took my 13 yr old and 3 of her friends....the content within the first 5 minutes was NOT appropriate for this age. It might be a good movie for adults, but I wasn't able to stay to find that out.
