Frantically paced, littered with cute kids, and overstuffed with split screens and a rap score, Ping Pong Playa angles a little too hard for tween attention, but there's no resisting the movie's antic affability or its irreverence.

This movie will appeal to many people of color especially those who have experienced "genetic deficiencies" according to mainstream stereotypes. The movie blasts holes against Asian American stereotypes. Ping Pong Playa has an almost universal comic appeal in C-Dub's journey discovering his self-identity. For some, the jokes will not make sense. But for those who have experience the slightest bit of stereotyping, this movie is plainly hilarious.

Great Family Movie by ethans dad
This is a great family movie that you can take all the kids to see! They'll love it.

it was awesome by helju
I saw it on Saturday. It is hilarious. The main character C-dub, who wishes he were a basketball star, has to help out his family teaching ping pong (and becomes a better person in the process). There are these really funny kids in the movie. They relationship with C-dub is very Adam Sandler-esque.

Great small movie by skyler_fox
This is a great small movie. Like a lot of independent films, this movie makes up for production values with heart. I took my daughter to see it and we had a great time. The lead and director did a question and answer at the end of the show and gave out ping pong balls.

Hilarious by wtkwok
I've seen this movie twice now with my wife and kids 11 and 9, and we laughed out loud through the whole thing. It is definitely a lot of fun with a very well written story and lots of unexpected funny moments. Jimmy Tsai is a natural and did an awesome job as C-Dub.
