Tense, formulaic, action-packed thriller set on a plane.
What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Non-Stop is an action-packed thriller with plenty of edge-of-the-seat moments that may thrill teens. It could also scare off both young and old viewers from flying, especially if they're already skittish about it since the movie's so tense and realistic. The body count's pretty high, too, served up with a big dose of brutality and some gore, which may prove too intense for younger teens. Expect some swearing, including "s--t" and "d--k," and some drinking, too; one character is an alcoholic.
- Families can talk about the movie's fear factor. How does this film tap into the collective fear about acts of terrorism, especially on planes? Does it have a political agenda?
- Does the movie deal with any stereotypes and, if so, how does it handle them? Does it promote them or break them down?
The good stuff
Messages: Keeping your cool under terrifying conditions can only help you. Asking for help also makes a big difference.
Role models: Jen Summers carries herself like someone who truly appreciates what's important in life, and she helps Bill Marks out of a terrible jam. Nancy, the flight attendant, is also a great example of a cool, calm, and collected person.
What to watch for
Violence: Violence is at the heart of the storyline. A plane full of passengers is threatened by a terrorist traveling with them. People are shot, beaten, threatened with knives, shoved, kicked, you name it. Some of the brawls are so raw -- bones crunch, flesh rips, bodies slam.
Sex: A couple makes out under a blanket. A man's phone reveals a series of photos of a woman's cleavage.
Language: Some swearing, including "s--t," "dick," "a--hole" and "bulls--t."
Consumerism: A few labels are seen, including Samsung and Patek Philippe.
Drinking, drugs and smoking: One man smokes secretly in the bathroom of a plane. He's later seen contemplating a stiff drink, but doesn't imbibe. A woman downs vodka, seeking liquid courage. A passenger is shown trying to take prescription meds to calm himself.

Loved Liam Neeson! Thought provoking of phone technology, such fast moving show that it barely felt like movie just started then it was over! And wanted to see more!
Non Stop Schlock! by IWantMyMoneysWorth
Annoyingly weak, not even TV-quality, screenplay with goofy plot/premise built around Bad-Guy incessantly texting Good-Guy with in-flight threats and information (which will most certainly be richly ridiculed in the next 'Scary Movie') . The lengthy string of implausibles, capped most notably the Bad-guy's self-revealed motivation, just went too far past the tipping point. Poor Liam

A thrill ride all the way. This one reminds me of the good old days when you kept guessing who the bad guy was and it was well mixed with action and a good story line. Liam Neeson did a great job as the lead and the NYPD cop was a good atagonist. Julianne Moore also played an excellent supporting role. A great way to spend a couple of hours.
Perfect matinee movie by flgatorguy25
Fun, fast-moving if illogical, Liam Neeson adds his solid presence to a fine Saturday afternoon at the movies. Good but not great, but good enough - modestly intense and enjoyable.

Must see...must go! Keep you on the edge of your seat for the entire movie. My friend an I were amateur sleuths trying to determine the predator. No disappointment here! Go with a friend and see who can guess first.

This movie was action packed! Loved it. We were looking forward to going to it when it opened. Sometimes when you anticipate that its going to be good, you are disappointed. Not in this case. We were so glad we went on opening day. It was great!!
One of the best action's I've ever seen! by willblack7
Coming into this, i thought i had seen everything in the trailers. Boy, was i sure wrong. The movie was absolutely fantastic. I think it was, well, action packed to the highest extent. Not predictable who did it and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Big 2-thumbs up!
Non-Stop by jpalerm5
Fast-paced, exciting, and well-acted, the film was above average for
what's coming out of Hollywood these days. At least there was no
car chase, and one single explosion, a rarity for 21st century films.
Scary crashing vehicle movie by klavierman
This movie brings up the fears of many of what an imminent plane crash might be like with the added suspense of a murder thriller. It is well acted, especially by Liam Neeson.
They made the plane look incredibly real as well as the reactions of all of those on board.
