Predictable Cage sci-fi tale may entertain teens.
What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that, like most action thrillers, this movie has several violent scenes: An international terror syndicate is responsible for blowing up a victim, launching a nuclear missile, and slitting the throat of anyone in their way. Nicolas Cage's character gets involved in several fights, and the FBI and the terrorists display enough ammo to fill the national armory. While there's no real gore (or blood, for that matter), the images are still disturbing. There's only one love scene, but there's a lengthy scene preceding it with Jessica Biel wrapped in a towel. Thanks to Biel's popularity and Cage's action cred, expect teens to want to see it, even though it's not being marketed as a teen film.

What to watch for

Violence: A woman is kidnapped and publicly blown up; two people's throats are slit (not gory). All the terrorists and FBI agents shoot guns, and several are killed. The unarmed hero fights off his enemies.

Sex: Cris and Liz kiss and in the next scene are bare shouldered in bed together (no nudity is visible, but they've obviously just had sex). One scene features a post-shower Liz wrapped in a short towel.

Language: The usual suspects: "bulls--t," "s--t," "a--hole," "bitch," and the like.

Consumerism: Minor: FBI-issued Suburbans and other SUVs, Geneva watches.

Drinking, drugs and smoking: Various characters smoke cigarettes. Terrorists take pills to prevent radiation poisoning.

This movie was a clever twist on an already worn-out idea - the ability to tell the future. At times it was a little confusing, and a little unbelievable (and I don't mean the fact that Nicolas Cage can see into the future.) Also the rules of his ability kept changing. But altogether, it was a great action movie with a great cast and it also kept you guessing until the very end.

I never listen to reviewers. This movie has a very exciting plot and Nicholas Cage once again gives a great performance. This movie had a lot of action as I come to expect from his movies. The plot twists keep you on the edge of your seat. Way to go Nicholas! A+

I thought the movie was very well done. There was a lot of action with good actors. Nicholis Cage was good and Jessica Biel was drop dead gorgeous. It was a very entertaining movie.

Don't miss "Next" by gabbysPIX
This is truly a mind bending flick. Seeing the future isn't all it's cracked up to be and Nicolas Cage pulls off that lost soul like no one else. Throw in a beautiful girl with an inexplicable draw on him, and you have one non-stop moment to moment white knuckle ride. The best part is not knowing if you are in the future or present and I had a hard time unclenching the arm rests thru the latter half of the move. Just be warned, the ending will make you scream. It is peppered with scenes from some of Nick's previous films, find them if you can, a touch of "Matrix" and a bit of "Conspiracy Theory", but what can you expect when you pit the little guy up against the government agencies of lies and deceit. AND you can take the kids! No swearing, there is some blood, and a hint of sex, but overall, it's less violent than Ed, Ed, and Eddie.

I loved this movie! After reading mixed reviews and some that said the ending sucked, I wasn't sure I wanted to see this one. I went anyway, and I'm very glad I did. Those people who said they couldn't figure out the ending...well they just must not have been smart enough to do it. I don't mean to sound rude, but the way it ended was perfect for the movie's content. It really couldn't have gone any other way. I'll be purchasing this one when it comes out on DVD. The acting was great and Nick actually looked pretty hot in this movie hehe.

This movie "for me" blew my socks off, fantastic action, great graphics, and plot was amazing. I will see this again and buy the DVD when it comes out. Nichalas Cage Was fantastic !!
