It bears all the hallmarks of the gothic: ghosts, death, alienated sexuality, decay, secrets, madness and, of course, awe and trepidation in the face of the sublime power of nature.

Stunning cinematography; a pensive, engaging and poetic performance. A lesson to Hollywood and American film makers about making the screen breathe with nature and stop the audience's heart.
