Jen Yamato is a walking, popcorn-eating contradiction: she loves all kinds of cinema, from art films to schlocky B-movies, French New Wave to the paperboy musical Newsies. From week to week, she watches all the new releases so she can tell you which films are excellent, which will be your new guilty pleasures, and which you should avoid watching at all costs.

Jen grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she studied among the hippies of UC Berkeley before moving to Hollywood as senior editor at the movie review site Rotten Tomatoes. She has covered all the major film festivals including Sundance, Toronto, and Cannes; her work has appeared on websites including Rotten Tomatoes, AOL/Cinematical, and FEARnet.
