3 Specific Rules by TheRazorSlash
Gremlins follows Billy Peltzer(Zach Galligan), as he receives a mysterious present for Christmas. A Mogwai. But there are 3 very specific rules to owning a Mogwai. Don't get it wet, Don't expose it to sunlight, and most importantly, NEVER feed it after midnight. When these rules are broken, The real fun begins...The acting is natural and believable. Zach Galligan and Phoebe Kates are a great duo. The writing is natural, characters react naturally to situations, making it all the more believable. Joe Dante's direction brings it all together, and it's a blast to watch. However, to be fair, some of the puppets DO look a bit dated by today's standards, however they still look more real than some CGI I've seen. There is one stop-motion scene in particular that looks incredibly unrealistic. While, like all films, Gremlins depends on taste. But if you want my opinion, this film is among the best. It's been my favorite film since I first saw it. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
