Faster Review

Messages: The main character is on a revenge spree, killing all those responsible for the death of his brother in a botched robbery. At first he kills without hesitation, but he eventually begins to see the moral implications of his actions, especially if his victims have families. There's even a suggestion that he has learned to forgive...mostly, but not quite. But in the end, there are no consequences for his actions.

Role models: The main character spends the movie hunting for revenge and only occasionally thinks about the moral implications of what he's doing. It's questionable whether he learns any kind of lesson, and there are no consequences for his actions. The cop character is a drug user who appears to be trying to go straight and rebuild his broken family, although he has some serious drawbacks as well.

Violence: The main character is on a mission of revenge, and he shoots and kills several people; viewers see bullets impacting and blood spurting. Other characters also shoot people. One character has his neck sliced with a knife, and another is stabbed with an ice pick. A woman stitches up a gory wound in the hero's neck. Plenty of blood throughout.

Sex: A character's girlfriend lounges in bed, and her naked thigh is exposed. A couple kisses in one scene. Another scene takes place in a strip club, but all of the women are wearing frilly underwear.

Language: Fairly infrequent, but occasional strong language includes one use of "f--k" plus "s--t," "ass," "hell," "damn," "goddamn," and more.

Consumerism: Not an issue

Drinking, drugs and smoking: A supporting character has a drug problem; he's seen buying and injecting heroin. Later, he gives the drugs to his ex-wife, and she eventually uses as well. The same character smokes cigarettes regularly. Another character is seen smoking a cigar. A teen girl is given a date rape drug but is rescued.
