Great character and production design by realityCheckGal
The creativity of the food characters and sets makes up for a fairly weak story line. My kids really liked it, but not something that was terribly memorable for them.
the kids laughed all the way through by MEBowling
I have two boys, 8 and 4, and they laughd through the movie. It was cute and I enjoyed it. When we were leaving the boys asked if we could buy the movie as soon as it comes out so they can watch it again and again.
Cloudy 2 by randomrater
Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 was a delightful movie that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. The story was engaging and absorbing, and the characters compelling. The animation was excellent and very creative. My young son and both my wife and I had a great time. I wasn't certain what the plot for a would be, but it was a good story. CWCM2 was at least as fun as the first one.

It was funny and cute! I will give it that. But it was a little too much cute. They tried too hard to make this funny and it turned out annoyingly corny.
Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 by Avemike
This is such an adorable and creative way to have fun with food. My boys and I laughed and was so impressed with the animal food imagination. Must see again.

One of the best animated features I've seen and equals the first movie in the series. When it is funny, it is very funny, and when it is sad, it is quite sad. The storyline, animation and scripting details are wonderful. My favorite foodimal was the watermelephant! Little Berry, the strawberry foodimal, was just as cute as can be, and the main characters are as strong as ever. The message "science is good" found in the first movie is not as clear in Meatballs 2. In this movie "good science battles bad science while bad science tries to manipulate good science" is a less clear message. However it is still about science and entertaining to others beyond science.

Word to the wise...do not waste your money on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. Go out and eat spaghetti and meatballs instead.
(My 11 year old agrees!)
A definite kids movie by orndoja98
Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 is definitely a kids movie but adults will like it as well. The movie has several other movie parodies in it but you have to look for them. The movie is cute and has a decent storyline. It is always nice to see a movie on the large screen, but if you are were wanting to know if you should see it in the theater or wait till it comes out on DVD you may want to wait until it comes out on DVD.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is lacking meat by TheMovieM8niac
The first movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, was cute. A show about an outcast who meets another outcast and becomes the town hero. This movie is a protagonist vs. antagonist--end of story.
The quips and failing charges of humor aren't there as they hit the audience in bombarding jests as if entering a snowball fight. Instead of letting the tide calm before the new next storm, the viewers are hit with so-so jokes one after another, deflating the tiny bit of humor that would have been served.
The kids liked it because the food is alive and there is a rescue of "wildlife." This allows their imagination to grow, which a parent appreciates.
As a parent taking kids to see a movie is exceedingly difficult, without previewing it first, because of crass humor and anticipating unforeseen violence. This is one concern I do not have with this movie, which is a huge relief.
