A romantic classic! by girasol9476
A tale as old as time indeed - this love story is as breathtaking as ever in crisp 3D. The kids get special 3D glasses with the movie's name and some artwork on them.

A Better Beauty by RiderDon
Same great movie with enhansed 3D picture. Disney has done a fantastic job in re-creating this Classic with its purest princess. Worth seeing again and a must-see for anyone who has not seen the movie.

Beauty and the Beast by Niki414
My daughter and I attended the movie last night and we loved it. The 3d effects were fantastic! It is a classic movie that really came to life with the 3d added. It was a lot of fun!

Beauty & The Beast 3D by mcrtnyfan
I saw this the first time it came out. It was and still is my daughter's favorite movie. She is definitely going back with me to see it. I loved it in 3D. If you love Disney and saw this the first time and even own the dvd like I do you must go see this.

My childhood relived by ceah418
Loved the 3d. This is deff still my favorite classic Disney film. Beauty and the beast has the best meaning behind it. Never judge a book by its cover. This made my day!

Great movie, Clean quality by NoEffex
the movie was great, especially if you went with that special someone. they really did a great job cleaning up the movie, the 3d didn't look like an afterthought, it looked as if the 3d should have been there this entire time; the quality was perfect and the visuals just stood out. i'm glad i went to go see this movie, i'm a guy and i'm not scared to admit that i had fun watching this movie.

"A Tale as Old as Time" should stay 2D by Jfutran
I walked into Beauty and the Beast 3D, excited beyond words at the prospect of this beloved story coming to life as the classically two-dimensional figures would futuristically pop right out of the screen. So, the first time the 3D experience really took shape during the first scene, where the enchanted castle jumped out of the screen as was easily an arm's length away- that was pretty cool. But unexpectedly the phenomenon grew old as I was no longer in awe of these "revolutionary" effects. It was quite strange, I thought more aspects of the movie would have been touched with the magic 3D effect, but I was disappointed to see that for the most part things looked rather 2D with a few exceptions. Every time I watch this movie, I love it more and more, but I certainly wouldn't pay $15 dollars for this "new" 3D experience. This "Tale as told as time" is positively perfect just the way it is, in the comfort of your own home, in a classic 2D format.

A must go! by DBritann
Beauty & the Beast is my favorite princess movie, so I wanted to see what 3D would be like. I believe that the 3D version is way better than the original version, and I'm not a big fan of 3D's either. Even my daughter likes the big screen better - 3D (she's 6).

Same as before but with popouts. by ar0910
My family and I love this story so we were going to go anyway. basically it was the same old style animation with some 3D popout. I really like the bats animation

A classic, ruined. by kinsella217
Clearly, this movie is a Disney classic, even if its not one of my favorites. My wife and I were eager to line up to see it, although we had misgivings about the 3D-ification and it turns out that our concerns were well founded. A movie we both enjoyed was turned into a headache inducing experience. The 3D effect does not recreate my visual experience with depth perception as I interact in the real world. and as such, it is a major distraction. This is the second and last movie that my wife and I will ever see in 3D. Sorry, Hollywood, that's the way it is. Hollywood, I invite you to compete for my entertainment dollar by bringing original stories with enjoyable plots, quality actors, and well-conceived direction and production to my local movie theaters for reasonable prices. I'll happily even pay to see re-releases of my favorite movies. Leave the gimmicky effects behind, though.
