Delpy is clearly a gifted writer, especially of comic dialogue. But she and Goldberg don't quite work as an engaging pair.

Delpy wrote and directed this study of a relationship heading (it would seem) for the rocks. She stages it with a funny and diverting improv-y flow.

2 Days in Paris is pure Julie Delpy, figuratively and otherwise. Since first becoming known to American audiences in the early '90s, she's revealed herself to be an artist of sundry and unexpected talents, with a distinctive voice and point of view.

Interesting portrayal of Relationships by gaff_tape_guru
I love the awkward sex scenes and the banter between the couple in this movie. It makes it feel less like a ?romantic comedy? and more like the documentation of a normal couple. Unlike your atypical romantic comedy, there are no ?big gestures? or cheesy one-liners, but more awkward situations and ?why did I say that? moments that, unfortunately, real life consists of. Julie Delpy?s monologue at the end of the movie expresses the thoughts and emotions that many people feel while in a relationship, and capsulated the movie. Although I did not like some of the editing choices, the movie was fun to watch.

a great movie! by vegaslamb
This was a great romantic comedy and a great movie about Paris. I love the city and I was thrilled to see a different side of it.
