Certainly trashy, but, stripped of Mr. Diesel's services and directed by John Singleton, it's a no-go Yugo in muscle-car sheet metal.

    USA Today Mike Clark

At least 2 Fast is self-aware enough to know that it's trash, which is worth half a bonus point. Lack of pretension helps the viewer get over the fact that this is just another retread.

For Families provided by Common Sense Media

Iffy for 14+

Death by sequel. Extremely violent sequel.

What Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that the movie has some strong language and a great deal of violence, including gunplay and torture. Girls wear skimpy clothes and sexual references abound.

  • Families can talk about Brian's conflicts in deciding which side he is on. They could also discuss the difficult choices faced by undercover operators, who must stand by or even assist while their subjects commit crimes.
