Your Favorite Thing(s) Today: Two Fantastic Year-End Videos Look Back at the Movies of 2013

Dec 03, 2013

It’s that time of the year when there are a bazillion "best of" lists flooding the Web. If you’d like to give your eyeballs a break and enjoy a few fantastic videos celebrating the greatest movies of 2013, we have what you need. Our pal David Ehrlich at Film.com rounded up 25 of his favorite films this year. Even if you don’t agree with his choices — including Noah Baumbach’s Frances Ha, The World’s End and Broken Circle Breakdown — the editing of the 11-minute clip captures the energy of this year’s greatest, with a lovely introduction that sets the scenes. Note: Ehrlich chose to highlight films publicly released in the United States during 2013.

The Sleepy Skunk (who has contributed video mojo right here and to our sister site Fandango) offers up a different mash-up — this one highlighting some of the best moments in 2013’s movie trailers. It’s hard to dispute any mash-up that opens with Jay-Z’s “Brooklyn Go Hard” and continues at a breakneck pace. Dig in, below.
