A hearty congrats to Jimmy Fallon for his terrific debut as the new host of The Tonight Show last night. Broadcast from New York City for the first time in 40 years, Fallon opened his show with a sweet get-to-know-you monologue that was funny, honest and a little emotional, especially as he spoke about his parents and growing up a Tonight Show fan. But once all that stuff was out of the way, Fallon got down (literally) to business, revealing what truly separates him from past hosts like Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien: his ability to perform in a number of unique ways, almost all of which will most certainly go viral.
From dance numbers to singing with a band of Muppets, Fallon is so much more than a funny comedian. He proved that last night with this amazing number accompanied by Will Smith that documents the hilarious evolution of hip-hop dancing through the years. Complete with a full throwback look of overalls with one strap down, the duo performed over 20 different hip-hop moves, from the Cabbage Patch to the Twerk.
Check it out below, along with a Fallon's opening monologue and a bit full of awesome cameos.
