Yogi Bear Offers Family Fun in 3D at Home on March 22

Feb 14, 2011

Yogi might be "smarter than the average bear," but the live-action Yogi Bear movie starring Anna Faris and featuring the voices of Dan Aykroyd as Yogi and Justin Timberlake as Boo Boo is aiming for the elementary school crowd. At least the goofy kid friendly adventure based on the classic cartoon character has the underlying message of preserving our natural parks and endangered species in between all the sight gags of Yogi pilfering picnic baskets.

Warner Bros. is preserving Yogi Bear on DVD, a Blu-ray/DVD/digital copy combo pack and a Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD/digital copy combo pack on March 22. The DVD and regular BD include an interactive map tour of Jellystone Park, which includes footage of Aykroyd and Timberlake voicing the bears; "Yogi Bear Mash-Up;" the "Are You Smarter Than the Average Bear" game and the new Looney Tunes short Rabid Rider. If you opt for the Blu-ray 3D, you'll get additional bonus material besides the movie in three dimensions, including "Fun on the Yogi Bear Set," "Tour of Jellystone Park," "Jellystone Visitor Pic-a-nic Video," "Jellystone Park Jewels: Yogi's Secret Hiding Spot" and Rabid Rider in 3D.
