Watch: 'Years of Living Dangerously,' a Sobering Documentary Produced by James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger

Apr 11, 2014

James Cameron, Jerry Weintraub and Arnold Schwarzenegger got together to executive produce a project that doesn’t involve explosions or sinking ships or barbarian warriors. It's about another kind of danger — global warming.

Years of Living Dangerously is an eight-part documentary featuring celebrity correspondents that include Harrison Ford, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon and Olivia Munn. The first episode is online, ahead of the series’ April 13 debut on Showtime. The Hollywood stars team up with news vets and scientists to investigate issues of climate change and reveal inspiring and heartbreaking stories about how global warming has affected people in small towns and big cities across the world.

If you need more convincing, read Variety's review of the "mind-boggling" doc over here. Watch the first episode of Years of Living Dangerously, which we spotted on website io9, to get a leg up on this extremely pertinent issue.
