Those geeks who grew up with 8-bit video games are no doubt looking forward to Disney's Wreck-It Ralph, which hits theaters on November 2nd. The animated film follows a longtime 8-bit villain named Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) who, sick and tired of watching his archnemesis Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer) save the day, decides to travel through a power strip and enter other games to prove he can be a good guy too.
The film will feature all sorts of cameos from existing characters from games like Sonic the Hedgehog and Street Fighter. USA Today has premiered the first images of three of the film's main characters, including Reilly (see above), as well as Jane Lynch (below, top), who's playing Sgt. Calhoun, a gritty alien-hunting warrior from a Halo-like game, and Sarah Silverman (below, bottom), who plays the girly-girl Vanellope von Schweetz from a candy-themed game called Sugar Rush.
Also revealed in the article are the tie-in games for Wreck-It Ralph, which will include an actual Wreck-It Ralph game, as well as an arcade version of Fix-It Felix, Jr., which will be touring the country as we inch closer to release. Can't wait for this one!
And here's some footage of that tie-in arcade game
