Back in August Disney premiered the first footage from their upcoming 2012 CG comedy adventure Wreck-It Ralph at their D23 conference. The movie looks all sorts of awesome (especially for old-school arcade game fans) as it follows the villain of an 8-bit video game called Fix-It Felix who longs to be a good guy, and so he sneaks out of his game and into other games in an attempt to save someone's day. In conjunction with promoting the film at D23 last month, Disney also created a mock-up of the game Fix-It Felix and put it on display for all to check out (though it was just for show and wasn't playable).
In the video below (shot at D23) you can see the film's hero (or is it villain?) in action as he climbs up an apartment building and begins to wreck the joint before Felix, the game's hero, can come along and fix it. The film will feature the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch. It's being directed by Rich Moore and will hit theaters next November.
As of now we're not sure whether or not Fix-It Felix will be available to purchase as an actual game or if some version will appear in an arcade at, say, next year's Comic-Con, though we've reached out to Disney and they tell us it's "definitely something we're looking into."
