Update: The World's Lamest CGI Has Been Named! Check Out the Top 10 Worst Offenders Here!

Feb 02, 2012

A few days ago we had a brief chat about the worst CGI we've ever seen in movies. Don't remember? Fine, click here. I'll wait.

Caught up? Cool. So the Alamo Drafthouse has its wacky "Computer Error" compilation and while we don't have a complete list of all 250 films, we can tell you what the ten most "popular" choices were. So if I could get a virtual drum roll, please. Here are the ten flicks with the lamest CGI that the nerdy Drafthouse folks could imagine.

In no real order. Comments come from me alone.

The Langoliers (not really fair; it was made for TV)
Die Another Day (no arguments here; wow)
Blade (I think they meant Blade 2; a few moments there look like a Pepsi commercial)
I Am Legend (know what was scary about these CG apoca-vamps? nothing)
Clash of the Titans (the remake; I bet the CG would look a bit better without the 3D)
The Lawnmower Man (historically notable, perhaps, but yeah; not good)
Spawn (he wasn't supposed to look all blurry?)
The Phantom Menace (not sure I agree here; the flick is a punching bag but the glitz still looks good)
Sharktopus (bad but still fun)
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (some of it is great; some ... not so much)

I still can't believe those Eraser crocodiles didn't make the cut.
