Easy A director Will Gluck — who also showed us how Friends With Benefits works earlier this year — is a welcome new voice in the comedy world. According to Deadline, he'll soon be tackling a movie with a different kind of action (action-comedy, to be exact) with the upcoming Secretaries Day.
We don't know much about the project yet, but it looks like Iron Man 3 and Sherlock Holmes 3 screenwriter Drew Pearce will be taking on script duties. Pearce is also working on the Marvel comics adaptation, Runaways, and helping out busy genre director Guillermo del Toro on Pacific Rim. Clearly he's got the action chops required, so it will be interesting to see what he does with the funny stuff.
Gluck was reportedly attached to an adaptation of Ben Mezrich's Sex on the Moon (the author wrote The Accidental Billionaires, which inspired Fincher's Social Network) about a NASA intern who steals lunar rocks and sells them on the Internet to win over the object of his affection. There's no telling yet if Moon will be put on pause while Secretaries Day kicks ass to get to the front of the line, but we're looking forward to whatever Gluck has coming up either way.
