If the old saying "where there's smoke, there's fire" is true, there might be something to this whole Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman rumor that's been making the rounds recently.
Variety chatted with Warner Bros. President of Creative Development Craig Silverman, and while the studio boss didn't confirm that Wonder Woman will be making an appearance in the upcoming Zack Snyder film, he did offer the following:
"We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that's respectful to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can. So everything that has been speculated are things that we've thought about."
So, while we don't have a definitive answer to this question yet, Silverman does basically say that there's a grain of truth in the speculation and that they've considered Wonder Woman making her big-screen debut in the new film. We'll keep you updated on this unfolding saga as new details emerge. [via Coming Soon
Ben Kingsley Not Done with Marvel Movies
Actor Ben Kingsley had a prominent role in Iron Man 3
, but apparently that's not the end of the line for the Oscar-winning actor when it comes to superhero flicks.
The star is currently doing press for Ender's Game, but found a few spare moments to tantalize us all with this nugget concerning an upcoming mystery project with the comics giant.
"It's a secret Marvel project. I'm not allowed to say any more, you're going to have to wait and see. I was with many members of the crew that were involved in Iron Man 3. It was lovely to see them again. It was great to be with this wonderful family."
Based on the comments, it appears whatever Kingsley is alluding to has already been shot. Smart money is on an Agent Carter-styled spin-off or maybe an appearance on the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
. TV series. Whatever it is, we're down for it. [via IndieWire
Bruce Campbell Teases Army of Darkness 2
Now that Bruce Campbell is finished with Burn Notice, the actor has some spare time on his hands -- which means it's a great time to start talking about Sam Raimi's planned sequel to Army of Darkness.
The actor spoke about the project and his involvement at Wizard World Nashville, mostly joking about how Ash will handle the Deadites two decades after the original film.
"The last one was 22 years ago. I just haven’t been racing to do it. Sam Raimi is just a little bit busy making the biggest movies in Hollywood. I used to be busy. Now I’m not. That’s why I’m here.
Ash would have to stop occasionally from chasing some Deadites to catch his breath,” Campbell added. “Maybe we could do that, I guess. That would be exciting. Fight in a walker. That would be all right.”
Hit them with my cane. Fake them out, have a fake heart attack, distract a zombie. I like it… All right, sir, the answer is yes.”
This is cool and all, but I'm still not convinced we're ever going to see Raimi and Campbell reunite for more Evil Dead
action. [via Screen Rant
