Failed Wonder Woman TV Show Gets a Teaser Trailer

Jun 10, 2011

How do you tease a television show that wasn't picked up? Not very well, it seems, as what looks to be a teaser trailer for the failed Wonder Woman TV show has made its way online. At 7 seconds, this thing doesn't tease much, except the promise of a really cheesy-looking throwback logo.

Brief history lesson: NBC had commissioned a pilot for a Wonder Woman TV show written by David E. Kelley and starring Adrianne Palicki as the DC superhero. The pilot was shot -- and we spent months combing over pics and video of the production -- only to hear that NBC decided not to pick it up. So now we have this failed Wonder Woman pilot that we kinda still want to watch if only to get a little something out of all the time we spent talking about this thing in the first place.

Here's NBC's reasoning behind why they passed: "They did a great pilot and worked really hard on it. And I have huge respect for David E. Kelley. But we looked at the schedule and our needs and where things were falling into place. And it just didn't seem to fit.” Sure.

Watch the teaser below. Here's hoping this thing finds its way online somehow.
