Okay, let's get this out of the way first: White House Down technically isn't a Die Hard movie, and it has absolutely no relation or ties to the Bruce Willis action franchise. That said, we're at a point where the "Die Hard movie" is like its own genre now, and so when we say White House Down is the year's best Die Hard movie, that's most definitely a good thing. Unlike the most recent Die Hard sequels, White House Down manages to extract the gritty, gung-ho spirit of those first three Die Hard movies and injects it straight into Channing Tatum's forearms for a fun (and often funny), action-packed summer movie that's Roland Emmerich's best since Independence Day.
Not sold yet? Here's a four-minute trailer for the upcoming film, due in theaters on June 28, that acts as a pretty meaty appetizer for the main course. If you're someone who'd rather stay away from spoilers and teases of a film's best moments, then you may want to skip it. But if Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx haven't already convinced you to see White House Down, then this extended preview should do the trick.
