Which Geeky Franchise is the Internet's Most Popular: 'Star Wars,' 'Harry Potter,' 'Twilight,' 'Pokemon,' 'Star Trek' or 'Doctor Who'?

During your daily internet surfing, you've no doubt stumbled across several geeky references to stuff like Star Wars, Star Trek, Twilight and Harry Potter. It's just part of geek culture, and no matter how many stupid images of Chewbacca-themed shot glasses you click through each day, you're more than happy to click through some more tomorrow because a true fan never tires of being, well, a fan. But you have to admit that at one point in time you stopped to wonder which fan-friendly franchise really is the biggest, baddest and most popular online. Sure, we see tons of Star Wars junk, but does that automatically make it the one to beat?
Cheezburger put together this really fun infographic that compiles several stats -- from Facebook likes to FanFiction.Net submissions to eBay listings to Fan Wiki entries -- in their attempt to find out which geek-friendly franchise rules them all. So what did we learn? Well, in terms of Star Wars vs. Star Trek, it's no contest with Star Wars clearly dominating each category over Star Trek. Overall, it's looking like Star Wars, Harry Potter and Pokemon are just about tied, with Twilight slowly gaining steam (it's second in Facebook likes at 26 million behind Harry Potter's 37 million). In fact, Twilight and Harry Potter have so many fans on Facebook that they have more likes than the populations of both Australia and Canada.
Check out the infographic below and let us know what you think. Is this an accurate representation of which franchise reigns supreme online, or are they missing some vital stats?
