If the thought of another hectic holiday season depresses you, take solace in the fact that this December is going to be a fantastic one for movie nerds. Not only are we getting new films from Peter Jackson and Quentin Tarantino (among so many others), but we'll also get our first true taste of what the summer of 2013 will have to offer. Paramount has already announced a nine-minute preview of Star Trek Into Darkness in front of special IMAX screenings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, but a regular trailer for the film will also play in conventional theaters. Oh, and that's not all.
According to Emileeid, several more big trailers will debut in December, most of which will play with The Hobbit. We're talking the first trailer for The Wolverine as well as a new trailer for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. Guillermo del Toro has already teased a trailer for Pacific Rim in December, and The Hangover 3 will debut its first trailer during the last week of December. Other big summer trailers we expect to see in December (possibly) include Fast 6 and After Earth.
Meanwhile, for those itching for new trailers right now, Bryan Singer will put forth a new preview for Jack the Giant Slayer tomorrow.
So right now the big December trailer debuts look like this...
Star Trek Into Darkness (December 14)
Man of Steel (December 14)
The Wolverine (December 14)
Pacific Rim (TBD December)
The Hangover 3 (last week of December)
Note: These are the dates the trailers will be in theaters. We do not know when they'll arrive online, though it'll be within a short time frame before or after theatrical release.
