What They Said: Anne Hathaway on Negative Catwoman Costume Comments and Albert Brooks on 'Knocked Up' Spin-Off

Aug 09, 2011

Not long after the first official image of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises was released, the actress was shipped off to New York to do press for her upcoming romance film One Day. MTV caught up with her there and asked about the costume, the image and the reaction. "I was not going to admit it: I asked someone to send me a few reactions [to the photo]," she said. "And I happen to know that MTV's reaction was 'meh.' " Hathaway then reminded everyone that we only saw a fraction of what they have in store for that character, "What I am happy to say is, if you didn't like the photo, you only see about a 10th of what that suit can do. And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste."

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times caught up with Albert Brooks, who's currently preparing to play Paul Rudd's father in Judd Apatow's Knocked Up sequel/spin-off. The film will follow Rudd and Leslie Mann's married characters from Knocked Up as they navigate the trials and tribulations that come with turning 40. The film was called This is Forty, though the LAT claim that title probably won't stick. On whether we should expect more comedy than drama (or vice versa) from this latest Apatow outing, Brooks said, “There are quite a few scenes where something very funny comes, and immediately there’s a dramatic moment that’s more ‘Isn’t that what life is?’” ... "That’s where Judd’s going as he gets older, melding [drama and comedy]. He’s developing that [balance] more as more things happen to him; he’s kicking that into his work."

Both The Dark Knight Rises and This is Forty (working title) are due out next summer.

"What I am happy to say is, if you didn't like the photo, you only see about a 10th of what that suit can do," she promised. "And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste."   fvf         ffffffff dd  sdddd"What I am happy to say is, if you didn't like the photo, you only see about a 10th of what that suit can do," she promised.
