When you think of sharp, hilarious and rapid-fire dialogue, you probably think of writers like the Coen brothers, Aaron Sorkin or Quentin Tarantino. You wouldn't think of a lawyer in Ohio trying to get a government employee to define what a photocopier is. And yet here we are with a short film from director Brett Weiner, who has taken the verbatim transcript from that deposition and used it as the script for a short film that seems like it fell out of a Coen brothers movie making fun of government employees.
Seriously, just watch this. It's superbly acted, very nicely shot and edited, and is flat-out hilarious. This is art imitating life; life so unbelievably perfect that no artist could have written it better in the first place.
