Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's
The Crow had been set to start shooting this January, but the
28 Weeks Later director moved on to the
Highlander remake — and by the looks of this concept art for
The Crow reboot he might be glad he did.
The Hangover's Bradley Cooper was set to star in the role as Eric Draven (yeah, we thought it was weird too … ) — a musician who comes back from the dead to avenge his own death and that of his fiancée. Brandon Lee made the 1994 film a cult hit, and since then Hollywood has been trying to revive the character.
Shock Till You Drop previewed some concept art courtesy of Marvel's
The Hulk production artist Diego Latorre, who saw Cooper's Crow as a gothy blend of punk-ish and heroin chic. This particular image is the worst of the bunch, and the others find the actor looking like a second-rate Carl McCoy from band
Fields of the Nephilim — hat and all. With no actor or director at the helm,
The Crow is standing still — but if Cooper had played the part, what do you think of his makeover? Visit
