Billy Dee Williams is returning as Lando Calrissian: Following the fans' embrace of Donald Glover as young Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story, now original Lando Billy Dee Williams is set to reprise the role for Star Wars: Episode IX. Read more here.

Jeremy Renner joins SpawnWhile Jamie Foxx is set to play the title supernatural superhero in Spawn, fellow Oscar-caliber actor Jeremy Renner has now been cast in the co-lead role as Detective "Twitch." Read more here.



RoboCop sequel in the works: Never mind that remake or the other sequels to the original RoboCop. Neill Blomkamp, director of Best Picture nominee District 9, is going to helm a direct follow-up to the first movie from 1987 based on an old never-produced script. Read more here.




Skyscraper as a '90s action movie: Because the new Dwayne Johnson movie, Skyscraper, seems like a throwback to the days of rampant Die Hard knockoffs, Nerdist made a '90s style trailer to show what it really would have looked like then. Watch it below. 



Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween looks creepy enough: The first trailer for the sequel Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween showcases the return of Jack Black plus a lot of creepy creatures, including killer Gummy Bears. Watch it below.


Mary Queen of Scots is sure to be an Oscar contender: The first trailer for the historical drama Mary Queen of Scots arrived, spotlighting dueling monarchs played by Margot Robbie and Saoirse Ronan, both of whom are likely awards contenders this year. Watch it below.


The Favourite could also be an Oscar contender: Another movie about an English queen also revealed its first trailer this week, but The Favourite from Yorgos Lanthimos (The Lobsterlooks a lot riskier in terms of garnering awards groups' attention. Watch it below.
